Sypnopsis
Multi-location Law office expanding rapidly became frustrated with inconsistent technology across their location base. They were facing high monthly costs and poor communication between sites.
Challenge
As the law firm grew it would acquire other firms utilizing various phone systems ranging from premise-based systems to hosted VoIP. There was no extension dialing between sites and many employees would be forced to provide cell phone numbers as they frequently moved between sites. Their Internet service posed a similar issue. They had multiple Internet carriers so there was constant confusion as to who to call for outages. The accounting team was inundated with invoices from all the carrier agreements and the costs seemed way out of line.
Solution
My Resource Partners’ consultants assessed the situation over multiple discovery meetings, compiled all invoices and agreements and completed a cost-based analysis to transition all locations to a single provider for both voice and Internet. The provider was able to bill all the Internet carriers under one statement clearly broken out into profit centers so the accounts payable team would cut only one check but could account for all locations. The same provider installed a hosted VoIP phone system with desk phones as well as desktop and mobile applications so all employees could be reached regardless of their location. All locations now had one number to call for phone and Internet support when necessary. Productivity skyrocketed as interoffice communication was unified. By consolidating these agreements, the firm saved in excess of $120,000.
